The United Nations envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame said that the differences between Italy and France have reflected negatively on the Libyan file, calling on the two countries to set their disputes aside.

Salame told BBC Arabic on Sunday, that there will be no specific dates set for the elections unless the parties reach the minimum requirements for implementing the "historic settlement" as he put it, emphasizing his determination to abide by the dates set for the previous legislative elections, scheduled to be held this year.
