The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame said that the illusion of a military solution in Libya is now over, after five weeks since the attack on Tripoli.

Salame said after NATO meeting yesterday in Brussels that time has come to return to dialogue and to the political track, stressing that there will never be a military solution to the Libyan crisis regardless the passage of time.

"Libya is a victim of the injustice of neighbouring countries in its regional and international environment, but at the same time it consists a threat to its neighbours, both in terms of the flow of migrants or the crossing of terrorists via its border, Salama added.
