The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, has said that the biggest violation of the ceasefire in Libya was the shelling on Mitiga Airport, saying he has told the Libyan parties not to repeat such an act.

Salame told France 24 on Friday that the arms embargo in Libya was breached even after Berlin conference, calling on the countries that attended Berlin conference to take some action against the parties that are still sending mercenaries and weapons to Libya.

"It is possible that the fighting resumes in Tripoli but the UNSMIL is working on preventing it from turning into a guerrilla warfare inside Tripoli." Salame added.
