The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has renovated the Corniche located in the Sidi Akhribish area in the city of Benghazi with support from the European Union (EU).

The UNDP explained that the construction covered an area of 9,000 square meters and included lighting and electrical connection works in order to restore life to one of the most popular areas in the city and provide an improved public area in which residents and visitors alike could enjoy.

The Resident Representative of the UNDP in Libya, Gerardo Noto, indicated that the improvement of public spaces in Libya is crucial to promoting peace and social solidarity in a country that has suffered from conflict and division, as he described it.
