The United Nations (UN) and the African Union (AU) said in a joint statement that they are committed to supporting the Libyan political process, implementing the cease-fire agreement and holding presidential and parliamentary elections on December 24.

At the conclusion of the 5th Annual Meeting, chaired by Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki, both organizations stressed their commitments to the Libyan political roadmap, in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and the conclusions of the Berlin conference II.
