The British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, James Cleverly, said that the Stabilization Conference in Tripoli was a great success.

Cleverly reaffirmed, on his official Twitter account that the United Kingdom (UK) is committed to supporting Libya in its political transition, adding that free, fair, and inclusive elections on December 24 will be the next major step towards Libyan sovereignty and stability in the long run, as he said.

It is worth noting that Britain had participated in the Libya Stabilization Conference, which was held last Thursday in Tripoli, where it was represented in the conference by its ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, along with an official in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Charles King.
