Ubari gas station is expected to be ready to enter service in the next two days, the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) confirmed.

Director of the GECOL information department, Mohammed Al-Takouri clarified in a press statement that the station is undergoing operational testing, denying the reconnecting of the fourth unit to the national grid.

The public electricity network is facing a power shortage, due to frequent attacks on its stations, causing the loss of nearly 500 megawatts of the electric grid, according to Al-Takouri.
