The spokesperson for the Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces stated that a patrol of the Libyan Coast Guard and Port Security arrested two fishing boats, originating from Tunisia on June10, whilst fishing inside Libyan waters without authorization.

The spokesman further clarified that the two vessels were carrying 11 Tunisian fishermen, whom they transferred to the Zawiya refinery point, in order to dispense legal measures against them.

It is worth noting that Libyan international waters have witnessed several transgressions by Tunisian, Egyptian, and Italian fishermen, all of whom are guilty of fishing inside Libyan waters without permission, taking advantage of the instability of the security situation in the country.
