Two of the 17 bodies found in the outskirts of the city of Murzuk southwest of Libya last Monday have been identified by their families, a Murzuk Municipality official confirmed Tuesday.

The official, who preferred not to be named, said that the bodies belonged to Abdullah Bouguma and Karim Juma'a, pointing out that the two were civilians of the Tabu community, who were kidnapped by the so-called Dignity Operation forces on grounds of racial identity, saying that their families thought they were still in captivity.

"Only the bodies of those who have been identified by their families were recovered, so far," the official disclosed, stressing that the retrieving process is still on to identify the other bodies.
