The Turkish parliament has approved the establishment of a parliamentary friendship committee between the Turkish parliament and its Libyan and Egyptian counterparts, according to the Turkish newspaper Zaman.

The newspaper reported that the proposal was submitted by the Justice and Development Party a few days ago.

The resolution was adopted unanimously and coincided with the upcoming official meeting of the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in two countries together next week.

The Spokesman for the Turkish Presidency, Ibrahim Kalin, had earlier said that the normalization of relations with Egypt would reflect positively on the present situation in Libya.
