Turkish exports to Libya increased by 72.3% in the first half of 2021 in comparison with the same time last year, recording 1.2 billion dollars.

The Chairman of the Turkish-Libyan Business Council, Murtaza Karanfil, told Anadolu Agency that exports to Libya reached one billion and 195 million dollars as they hit last June a hike of 103.2% worth 213 million dollars.

Karanfil expected exports to Libya to mark a new record exceeding the current one of 3.13 billion dollars, saying trade had been ongoing well amid the advent of the new government and that his visits to Libya helped strengthen economic relations between the two countries, referring to meeting Libyan officials in Tripoli, including Presidential Council’s Head, spokesman of the Government of National Unity and State Minister for Communication and Political Affairs.
