The Turkish company Enka has commenced the implementation of the Misrata gas station project with the capacity to generate  650 megawatts.

A ceremony was held on Sunday to sign the receiving procedures between the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) and the implementing partner, the German-Turkish Siemens-ENKA firm.

The GECOL hopes the Misurata gas station will be operational by the summer peak of 2022 to cover the deficit in the production of electric power.
