Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune has agreed with Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu to avoid any practical action that would poison the already heated atmosphere in Libya and make every effort to cease fire.

According to a statement by the state-run Algerian news agency, the two parties expressed during their meeting in Algeria their hope that the Berlin Conference would be the starting point for a comprehensive political solution that guarantees the country's unity and national sovereignty.

The Algerian President also extended an invitation to his Turkish counterpart to visit Algeria at a date to be determined.
