Tunisian President Kais Saied arrived this morning in Tripoli accompanied by a high-level delegation.

Upon arrival at Maitiga International Airport, President Saied was welcomed by the new Presidential Council head, Mohammad Menfi, and other members, besides ministers of the Government of National Unity and military and security personals.

The Tunisian delegation included, besides President Saeed, Tunisian Foreign Minister Othman Jerandi, and several government officials.

The Tunisian Presidency said in a statement prior to the president's trip that the visit falls within the framework of Tunisia's support for the democratic path in Libya and to build bridges with the new leadership in the neighbouring country.
