Tunisian Foreign Minister, Noureddine Erray has said that the situation in Libya can not go on like this anymore and Tunisia needs to play a greater role in the Libyan crisis.

Erray stated following a meeting with the President of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People of Tunisia, Rached Ghannouchi that Tunisia will have a major role in the coming period with respect to the Libyan file, based on international legitimacy and away from the "sounds of guns", as he put it.

The Tunisian presidency has repeatedly voiced its rejection of the "line-up policy" in dealing with the Libyan file, emphasizing that it stands at the same distance from all parties, and seeks to find a solution to the Libyan crisis away from external interference and the language of arms, according to a previous statement.
