A specialized delegation representing Tunisian Civil Aviation carried out an inspection of the progress of renovation work at the Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli, following carefully the preventative plan to confront the Coronavirus pandemic.

This inspection was done with the aim of giving the airport the ‘all-clear’ for resumption of Tunisair flights to Libyan airports.

The team is due to present a detailed report on the status of the airports, in terms of safety and security, with a follow-up plan to put procedures in place in this regard.

Flights are expected to resume before the end of this month, according to a statement published by the Libyan Airports Authority.
