Tunisian Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sabri Bachtobji, has said that his country is seeking to reach a political solution or settlement in Libya in the framework of international efforts.

He told Russian Sputnik news agency on the sidelines of the Mediterranean Dialogues Conference in Rome that Tunisia believes that the political approach is the only solution to the Libyan crisis.

The Tunisian official called for the need to stop external interference and leave the Libyans to devise solutions among themselves.

"Foreign interventions in Libya are because of its major known economic resources and wealth, especially oil reserves," Bachtobji explained.
