Tunisia has reopened its consulate in Tripoli and the consul Tawfik Al-Qasmi assumed work starting Saturday morning, Foreign Ministry's media office in Libya's capital reported.

The consul along with 8 staffers were seen resuming work today at the consulate that was shut down in 2015.

The reopening came after long discussions between Libya and Tunisia Foreign ministers in the last period.
