Tunisian Foreign Minister, Othman Jernadi, has reaffirmed his country's support for a solution based on dialogue and consensus in Libya.

The Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published Jernadi's statements on Saturday, following his meeting with Mohamed Menfi, head of Libya's Presidential Council, on the sidelines of the African Union's summit, in the capital of Equatorial Guinea, Malabo.

The top Tunisian diplomat reiterated his government's readiness to support Libya at all international forums to help it restore its position in the region.

In return, Menfi expressed his gratitude for Tunisia's position in supporting efforts toward Libyan consensus and his hope that President Kais Saied, along with all neighboring countries and the international community, would continue their support for Libya on its path toward peace and stability.
