Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, issued a decision Saturday to restructure Tripoli Medical Center to a university hospital and to be renamed "The University Hospital of Tripoli."

The decision stipulates that the Hospital will provide the third level of health care services, such as treatment of incurable cases and major operations, to receive cases referred to it by second level hospitals, to conduct researches and studies on different diseases, and the rehabilitation of Libyan doctors to be able to deal with difficult cases.

The decision determined the number of hospital management staff with a president and seven members, provided that the Chairman of the Board of Directors will be appointed by the Presidential Council.
