A medical team has conducted more than 1200 medical examinations and more than 44 surgeries from mid-November until the beginning of December at Ghat Hospital in southern Libya, according to a statistical report prepared by the team to address the health crisis in Tripoli, in coordination with the World Health Organization.

The Director of Ghat Hospital, Mansour Waly, praised the efforts of the crisis team to provide medical services to patients in the desert town despite the lack of facilities and equipment.

Ghat hospital and the southern hospitals in general are suffering from a shortage of equipment, medicines and nursing staff that had an impact on their work and the services provided in the region.
