The Man-made River Authority said that the armed clashes south of Tripoli have prevented the technical team from carrying out their work to control the water flowing from the main HQ in Qaser Bin Ghashir area.

"The frequent attacks and violations committed by some citizens on the water channels feeding the western region have caused leakage and loss of significant quantities of water estimated at 300 million cubic meters per day," MMRA said.

The MMRA was forced to reduce the water supplies from the eastern route and divert to the middle track, which led to poor water supplies to areas on the eastern route, according to the MMRA.
