Elected Speaker of Tripoli-based House of Representatives, Hamouda Sayala, has announced the suspension of participation in any political dialogue in Geneva, citing a lack of progress from both the military and humanitarian perspective.

Sayala added in a press conference, that the members of parliament have decided to include an enquiry aimed at the United Nations mission requesting it to notify the MPs of the titles of all independent participants and to note the basis for their preference in the talks.

Meanwhile, the head of the High Council of State, Khalid Al-Mishri, also called the UN mission to postpone all political discussions until the third session of the military talks 5 + 5 in Geneva has concluded.
