Tripoli-based House of Representatives (HoR) welcomed the recent Security Council resolution about the situation in Libya, calling upon the United Nations mission to reinforce its efforts and expedite the implementation of the council's directives.

In reply to the Security Council's demand for a ceasefire; the MPs reiterated in a statement the legitimate right to resist Haftar's aggression, in order to protect lives and property.

It demanded the Presidential Council (PC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address the countries that support Haftar to the need to comply immediately with the Security Council resolution, which states for non-interference in the conflict.
