Spokesman for the Tripoli-based House of Representatives, Hammouda Siyala has underscored that they will not participate in Geneva talks before the withdrawal of Haftar's militias to positions that would allow the return of the displaced to their homes.

"It is not possible to talk about a political track before consolidating the ceasefire and to put in place measures that would silence the guns for all time," Siyala said in a press release.

He indicated that the agenda of the Geneva dialogue is the same that was supposed to be discussed in Ghadames.

"It is absurd to discuss the reconstitution of the Presidential Council and the electing of a national government amid the bellowing sounds of guns in the capital," Siyala added.
