Members of the Tripoli-based House of Representatives called on the UN mission and local and international human rights organizations to take a stand on the crimes committed in Murzuq by Haftar's forces.

In a statement, the HoR reiterated its call for the establishment of an international commission of inquiry to determine the extent of such crimes and violations and bring the perpetrators to justice, saying that such immoral acts of bombing private and public property have gone beyond war crimes to crimes against humanity.

It also expressed its firm condemnation to such acts, underlining that it will not go unpunished and that those involved will bear the legal and moral responsibility in front of all Libyans.
