The Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry, Emad Trabelsi, has invited the French Minister of Interior to visit Libya to strengthen communication between the two sides.

Trabelsi's invitation came during his reception on Tuesday, the French ambassador to Libya, Mustafa Mihraje, and his accompanying delegation.

A statement by Libya's Interior Ministry said the two sides discussed cooperation and ways to develop ties in various security fields.

For his part, the French ambassador affirmed his country's support for the efforts made by Libya's Interior Ministry and expressed readiness to open prospects for serious cooperation between the two countries in the security fields.
