President of the Steering Council of Tobruk, Faraj Bou-Alkhatabia discussed with the Director General of the Greek company METKA and representative of the US General Electric Company establishing a gas power station in the city.

The meeting, which was held on Tuesday, reviewed technical matters related to the project, including the preparation of the land on which the station is to be built on.

The project will consist of 4 production units with a total capacity of 740 megawatts.

The units will be operated respectively, with the first unit to be ready for functioning by the end of the year, according to the project's supervisors.
