Member of House of Representative for the city of Trahuna in west of Libya, Abu Bakir Said, stressed that they will not give up one inch of Libyan territory, adding that the Egyptian attempts to annex Al-Jaghbub Oasis has been on for decades.

Said clarified through his Facebook page Friday that he had submitted a complete dossier to the Chairman of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj at the end of 2016 that included documents and statements attributed to some senior Egyptian personalities claiming Egypt’s eligibility in the oasis of Al-Jaghbub.

"The disturbing developments in this case is that it has turned into a legal issue after an Egyptian lawyer filed a case to demand the annexation of Jaghbub Oasis to the Egyptian territory", Said explained, adding that the division within the institutions and the weakness of the state, encouraged them to encroach on Libyan territory.
