The Turkish Foreign Ministry has called on all Libyan parties to act with responsibility following the postponement of the elections, stressing that there should not be a power vacuum until a new government is formed after the elections.
The ministry said in a statement, on Friday, that the elections are an important turning point in the transitional process in Libya, stressing the need for the elections to be fair and independent and to be recognized by all parties in Libya.
Turkey will continue to contribute to the political track led by the Libyans under the auspices of the United Nations, the statement read.
