Tawergha Council of Elders has expressed rejection to the final reconciliation draft agreement reached with Misrata.

The Council said in a statement that the current draft agreement doesn’t meet the principles and basis known in the country’s social reconciliation treaties.

The Tawerghans confirmed in their statement that they don’t reject reconciliation, coexistence and good neighborliness with Misrata despite their rejection to the final draft agreement, demanding the authorities to intervene and end the IDPs’ suffering.

For his part, the Chairman of the Reconciliation Committee in Misrata, Yusuf Al-Zarzah, said the signing of the final agreement has been postponed indefinitely. The signing ceremony was scheduled to take place on Friday.
