The National Center for Disease Control said it had provided Tawergha General Hospital with a new batch of leishmaniasis treatment, sufficient to cover the infected cases in the city.

The hospital had sent a wake-up call after the prevalence of the disease in the city.

The Center added that the Department of Pharmacy and Medical Equipment had informed all dermatology clinics in areas suffering from the disease to communicate with the Medical Warehouse Department in order to receive their allowances from pentostam and glucantime therapies.
