The military investment officer of east Libya, Mohammed Al-Madani, has given orders not to allow Syrian nationals from entering Benina airport in Benghazi unless they were coming from Damascus International Airport.
"Syrians coming from the airports of Istanbul, Amman, Tunis, and Egypt, would be sent to Damascus, in fear of terrorism," Al-Madani said.
Libya has severed ties with the Syrian regime since 2011, however, after the takeover of Benghazi by the so-called Dignity Operation, the authorities in the east restored relations with the Syrian regime and resumed direct flights between Benina airport and Damascus, as well as organizing economic festivals.
