The Syrians for Truth and Justice organization, the Syrian Center for Justice and Accountability and the Tazur Association have submitted a complaint to the United Nations due to the recruitment of Syrians as mercenaries in several countries, including Libya.

The reports included documents proving the recruitment and use of children as mercenaries and the lack of medical care for them, as well as the negative effects on the families of fighters.

They also focused on recruitment patterns and  the methods used by Russia and other countries and their local partners in Syria to send mercenaries to Libya, stressing that the mercenary recruitment system revealed serious human rights violations, adding that despite the return of fighters from Libya, about 5,000 mercenaries are still in the country.
