The Swiss ambassador to Libya, Josef Renggli, has said his country is working on reopening its embassy in the Libyan capital Tripoli soon, saying this step can boost bilateral relations, and renewing support for the efforts of the Presidential Council to achieve national reconciliation.

The ambassador was received in Tripoli by Deputy Head of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, who hailed the massive role played by Switzerland in hosting Libyan political dialogue rounds that aimed at reaching stability and security in the country.

The Presidential Council said the meeting had reviewed the latest developments in the political process and efforts by the council to achieve peace leading to holding elections.
