The Sudanese Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced that they had foiled an attempt to smuggle a shipment of weapons and explosives and arrested four individuals, amongst them foreigners, from a gang involved in illegal arms trade with Libya.

The RSF explained that the operation took place at a location approximately three kilometers from an area on the Sudanese border “triangle” with Libya and Egypt, following reliable intelligence received.

As a result, the RSF clashed with the gang, arresting four of them and confiscating two vehicles carrying a quantity of weaponry and ammunition of various kinds, according to a statement released by the RSF on its official Facebook account.
