A member of the subcommittee of the municipal elections in Bani Walid, Miftah Saadoun, said that some people who rejected the initial results of the elections set fire Tuesday to the headquarters of the subcommittee.
The subcommittee of the municipal council elections in Bani Walid announced yesterday afternoon the preliminary results of the elections and names of some of the winners.
Saadoun explained that this sabotage will not affect the electoral process, affirming that the electoral process of the municipal council in Bani Walid ended without any security breaches by all accounts.
He also stressed that the subcommittee will pursue those who carried out this sabotage in accordance with the law.
