A source from the Port of Tripoli confirmed Friday, the start of repairing the damaged ship "Atlantic Peach" that ran ground at Tripoli's Port, early this month.

The source explained that the maintenance work will be conducted by an Italian company in cooperation with the coast guard and the security of the Libyan ports, clarifying that the ship will be refloated in days.

The large freight measuring 139-meter-long, 22.5-meter-wide, coming from Greece, was derailed from its course by rogue waves towards Tripoli's Port.
