Spokesperson of the Crisis and Emergency Committee, formed by the Presidential Council, Hind Shubar, attributed the increase in the hours of power outages to the non-response of Zawiya city and Janzour district of Tripoli to the load shedding process adopted by the General Electricity Company (GECOL).

Shubar pointed out that some of the power turbines went out of service, including 3 ones at the gas and steam power plants in Khoms city.

She also stressed that the Ministry of Interior is working to secure the main control centre located in Bawabit Al-Gips area in Al-Suwani district in order to enable the technical team to reach areas that require urgent maintenance of power lines, including the vicinity of Yarmouk camp and Salahuddin Road.
