Anadolu News Agency reported an elder from Tuareg as saying that a delegation from Tuareg, Tubu, and Awlad Sulaiman tribes arrived in Rome on Sunday to discuss anti-terrorism, anti-illegal-immigration, and border protection issues.
The tribes stressed the need to protect Libya's borders, the source added.
The visit of the delegation to Rome coincides with the leaks that said the EU is discussing the possibility of sending EU police to southern Libya to fight the growth of illegal immigration.
