Member of the Municipal Council of Murzuq, Mohammad Omar said Sunday that the tribes of the southern region and the Fezzan Committee for Healing the Rift in Murzuq have put forward several initiatives to solve the conflict in the town.

"The situation in the city remains as it is, and the displaced families are still unable to return to their homes," Omar said in a press statement.

He indicated that the representative of the Al-Ahali tribe is still stalling to reach a consensus among them.

Last month, Murzuq witnessed violent clashes, resulting in several casualties and the displacement of many.
