The Cooperative Committee for the transport of oil and Derivatives gave Brega, and other oil distribution companies a period of 10 days to react and protect drivers from robberies and hijacking before ceasing the transfer of fuel to Jufra and the south.

In addition, the committee urged the companies to modify their prices for transport costs to reflect the rise in spare parts prices.

The Fuel and Gas Crisis Committee demanded an intervention before the suspension of work, and that work should begin in contacting relevant authorities to provide the necessary protection for fuel trucks and work in coordination with the Ministry of Economy to consider raising the price of fuel transportation on transport companies.
