The Chairman of Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj received on Monday a delegation from the southern region.

Al-Sarraj stressed that the situation in the south falls within the government's priorities.

"The government will harness its full potential to solve the problems and bottlenecks in the south," he said.

According to the Media Office of Presidential Council, the meeting focused on the security situation in the southern region and the crisis of Murzuq town.

The issue of the displaced was also put on the table and steps to secure their return to their homes, in addition to the need to achieve reconciliation between the social and cultural components of the region.
