A member of the House of Representatives for the city of Sabha, Mesbah Owhaida, has denounced what he called the “dark hands” that prevented a southern delegation of sheikhs, dignitaries and ministers from travelling to the Italian capital of Rome after being stopped at Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli.

Owhaida stated on his official Facebook page that the people of the south have yet to find those who can reconcile between them in Libya, and that banning southern residents from travel indicates bad faith and obstructs future reconciliation and development in south Libya.
