Sooq Al-Jumua municipality urged the prime ministry, water resources and local governing ministries to take the necessary measures and resolve the accumulated water on the roads so that the suffering of people ends.
The municipal council said Thursday that the water issue is related to the government’s negligence toward infrastructure projects that have been signed years ago, adding that inadequate budgets and funding are also reasons for this crisis.
“Since no budget was given for January and February for the municipality, there will be no ability for ending the disastrous situation in the flooded roads.” It added.
