Libya's Foreign Minister, Mohamed Siyala, has received a phone call from his Algerian counterpart, Sabri Boukadoum, according to a statement by the Libyan Foreign Ministry on Sunday.

The ministers discussed means of coordination and cooperation between the two countries in several fields, especially in the energy sector.

Siyala explained that the Algerian electricity engineers who arrived in Tripoli last Thursday will examine at the first stage the two gas turbines of Al-Khums station.

The two sides also reviewed the latest developments in Libya, reaffirming support for a political solution to the conflict in the country.
