The mine clearance unit of Sirte Protection Force was able to dismantle three shells attached to an explosive device that was planted near the HQ of the Red Crescent and Uqba Ibn Nafi secondary school in Sirte city.
"The shells were remnants from the war on ISIS, which the extremist group was unable to detonate at the time," Sirte Protection Force stated.
The force pointed out that the extent of damage which would have been caused if these shells had exploded is very large.
