The Mayor of Sirte, Mukhtar Maadani, has held a meeting with the manager of Sirte Port, Mohammed Salem, to discuss the hurdles that hinder the reopening of the port and its return to work after being closed for more than two and a half years.
The port manager asked the Municipal Council and relevant authorities to provide the facilities and administrative equipment for the port, and to provide communication equipment needed to make contact with ships.
The navigational equipment of the port were looted during the control of ISIS.
