The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has reopened Sharara pipeline valve, a day after declaring a state of force majeure on crude oil loadings at Zawiya port.

The NOC said its technicians managed to locate the closed valve and reopen it on Sunday evening.

The valve was closed on Saturday by unknown vandals preventing the NOC from carrying out crude oil loadings at Zawiya terminal and causing the loss of around 290 thousand barrels of crude oil production per day.
