Libya’s Sharara Oil Field resumed production on Friday after two days of closure due to protests. Workers at the filed went on strike on Wednesday slamming the management for lack of safety measures after one of their colleagues had drowned in a swimming pool.  The National Oil Corporation promised to set an investigation into the incident.

Sharara Oil Field produces around 270,000 bpd.

The country’s oil production has increased to 835.000 bpd, the National Oil Corporation reported.
